History of Computer

ABACUS was the first calculating device which is developed in China. It is surrounded with wooden frame which divides into two parts. Upper part is called heaven and lower part is called earth. Beads were inserted into threads. Calculations are the performed by moving of beads from upper to lower and vice-versa.

                 In 1642 Blaise Pascal developed a machine, it named Pascaline adding machine. It could be performed all types of arithmetical operations.

Charles Babbage is often called father of modern computer. It developed a machine which is differential Engline. It performed some arithmetical operations.

Charles Babbage dream was realized by Horward Aiken of Horward University. H. Aiken developed a first electromechanical computing device it named “Mark-1”. It could be performed all types of arithmetical operations.

“Lady Ada Lovelaca” was the first programmer.

Now, a day very smaller version of computers  are introduced which is laptop and palmtop. It runs on batteries. It looks like a briefcase and mobile respectively.
